The Al-Gaaylaa Radio Program on FM 103.7 hosts KDS Board Member and General Secretary Dr Fahed Al-Jaser to speak about Kuwait Diabetes Society and its important role in providing services and increasing awareness about diabetes in Kuwait. He also spoke about the upcoming Second Future Diabetes Camp for Kids, which will take place on April 23-25, 2015 in The Regency Hotel. Two special guests, Hoor Al-Hadad and Khaleefa Al-Sharida spoke about their experiences in participating in diabetes camps and the important things they learned from attending.

Kuwait Diabetes Society (KDS) marks World Diabetes Day by organizing an event in The Gate Mall. During this time, KDS board members and staff were present on both days from morning until evening, providing free blood glucose testing for the public as well as medical advises from physicians and diabetes educators. There were also sections dedicated to measuring weight and offers of free dietary advice by nutritional specialists from the Kuwait Ministry of Health. About 500 people were tested and many more benefited from advice on how to have a healthy lifestyle. KDS used the IDF "Healthy Eating Begins With Breakfast" theme for its World Diabetes Day event.

Kuwait Diabetes Society holds its first Future Diabetes Camp for Kids. It was for young boys with diabetes and it took place in The Regency Hotel. The outcome was a success. The staff responsible for the children included a team of physicians, nurses, dieticians and volunteers who were competent in dealing with diabetes. The camp participants had 24-hour access to the adults responsible. The children learned how to check their blood glucose levels, how much insulin to take and what to do in the case of hypoglycemia. The dieticians were available to teach and guide carbohydrate counting during the mealtimes. The team was medically equipped with glucometers, glucose testing and ketone strips, as well as glucagon pens. There were many activities carried out including a visit to The Scientific Center and Hoop Mountain Basketball camp, where the children engaged in a good amount of physical activity.
